IMP, robot tourney, best hand South

I can't believe that I gained 10.38 IMPs on this hand. Spade lead ducked by West and 11 tricks to N/S. But the bidding was the thing.

I have only just realised that the GIB explanation declares that North is showing a 5th Club with the 3C bid, which he has not got. I speculate that he is programmed to rebid 3H in preference to 3m with 4-4 in the two suits. That would certainly increase the chances of his having a 5th Club if he bids 3C, but as this had demonstrates it is still not guaranteed. Explanation needs to be updated, I think.

Furthermore, if it IS the tendency of GIB to rebid 3H in preference to 3m with 4-4 shape then I do not think that I like it. Happy to be overruled by a consensus of experts, but if he bids 3m there is still room to find the Heart fit.

But most surprising I thought was the 3N bid. "likely stop in S". Just as well I had that fourth Spade to go with the Jack. It seems that Tx was a stopper after all. But why not bid 3S on the way to 3N? Surely there must be some doubt about whether between us we have a guard.
