I would like to know a reasonable way to manage opponents overcalls after

Too many questions in one post - I suggest you separate the circumstances out, and tell us what methods you are playing, what 1 and the replies mean.

I suspect you are looking for some meta-strategy to list out your bids.
Look up Pete Matthews and Marshall Miles. They both wrote on these types
of auctions AND reasoned their intent. Distill from that.
