Playing in an ACBL BBO Robot tourney earlier today, I had an uneventful auction leading to the opponents playing in 3. At least I thought it was uneventful until I saw what my GIB partner held.

The auction:

RHO...Me...LHO...GIB Partner
1.......X......2.........2
3......All Pass

GIB Partner held:

QJT98x
J8xx
Q
Jx

Not so bad- its hand is quacky- novel for it to evaluate its hand right. It gave a nonforced but invited bid so its better than forced bid.

When is the last time you responded to a takeout double by bidding your J high four card major as opposed to your QJT high six card major?:
