One simple example (sorry I don't have a hand to quote - did once, lost it) is that if it counts a shortage as an asset for its total point count then it should later adjust downward if that shortage now appears to be trumps. Likewise if the shortage is in a side suit but it also has short trumps it should not count the side suit shortage as an asset because it is unlikely to get many (if any) ruffs before defense draw trumps.
But today I came across what I think is a rather more glaring failure to consider the bidding:
MP, Robot tourney, best hand South
2D was Michaels, showing at least 5-5 in the majors, 9+ total points.
I think that North has a clear 2M bid over 2D. I am ambivalent over choice of major, but marginally prefer 2S, so it can back in with 3H over 3D later if opportune.
To bid 3S seems to attach some value to the minor suit Quacks.
