4-1 fit better than 5-3 Unless it's at a higher level

I open 1♥ with 5-6-0-2 distribution and a 15 count, intending to reverse and rebid spades. GIB responses 1NT and I bid 2♠. It then passes! First of all, I didn't even know you were allowed to pass reverses. Second, shouldn't it take preference to my hearts with 2NT -> 3♥ instead of playing in the likely 4-1 "fit"?
East GIB makes a balancing double despite the fact I announced extras (this seems fine though, he had a 14-count with 4-4 in the minors), and I bid 3♠, showing extra length in spades. NOW it takes preference to hearts!

Thanks for reporting.

Fixed in v28 so it won't pass.

At the moment GIB doesn't use 2NT with 3 cards in opening. Currently GIB uses as in this case 1NT to hide garbage with fit as direct raise is more constructive.

So it could return back to 3♥ which would show same. With hand intending to invite 3♥ it would bid 4♥.

Currently 2NT pickup weaker hands with 7 or less HCP and 3NT shows higher range.
