North's double is described as penalties.
My (South) double is intended to confirm interest in penalties, a choice which is then taken away from me by North.
Most Souths were able to extract a substantial penalty by passing with my hand and then passing North's double of West's 3C bid.
What logic is at play here? a mouse-over of my double shows a description of my hand as
"5+ S; 13-21 HCP; 22- total points".
Not the most helpful description, but at least I wasn't lying.
