MP, Robot duplicate, best hand South, Traveller 6766-1373182681-61380097

Comments, please? I am receptive to arguments that I bid the hand wrong as South (or at least contributed to the problem).

Explanations of the bids provided by GIB are:

1S: Major suit opening -- 5+ S; 11-21 HCP; 12-22 total points
2D: New suit -- 4+ D; 4+ S; 11-21 HCP; 12-22 total points; forcing to 3N
5C: 1- C; 4+ D; 5+ S: 21- HCP; 17-22 total points
5D: 5+ C; 4+ D; 14 total points

The movie does not provide an explanation for the 2C or 3D bids. Odd that. If it does not auto-describe my earlier systemic bids (and not rare bids at that) why does it suddenly wake up and start describing my 5D bid??

Anyway, enough of that. Apart from the fact that Qx of Clubs does not a singleton or void make, the problem seems to hinge on my decision to bid 3D. Presumably, systemically I am supposed to rebid 2N to show a balanced hand and at that point conceal my 4 card diamond support in the hope that I would have a chance to show it later. My thinking at the time was that 3D does not cut out 3N as a possibility (until partner goes and bids 5C of course), and I had some inkling that 4S might yet be right if partner has nothing in Hearts, where a bid of 2N by my might suggest a better H holding. I was pretty much resigned to wrong-siding 3N if partner had H:Qx, which is exactly what he had.

Think 3 instead of 5
fourth suit forcing(if this convention valid after a 2/1) or show some semblance of a stopper

problem with 5 besides the obvious that you don't have a singleton, it commits partnership to a higher level without any extra values to make 5

3 keeps open the possibility of 3N or 4

South is apparently human so his second bid should have been 2 (-hopefully 4th suit forcing.)

I cannot absolutely guarantee it, as some time has passed since it happened, but I vaguely recollect mousing over 2H and found that it was natural. I sort of gather that in an already GF auction there is no call for 4SF. My memory could be completely mistaken.
