How can I best use the www bridgebase client and GIB to analyse hands I have played offline?
Right now I do this: Open hand editor and put in Cards and bids. Then I can fool around with play of the Cards and hit GIB for analyzing. I can take back Cards and try other lines etc. Great! My problem is that when I save the hand, to a folder or as a link, then I cannot change the Cards played anymore. I cannot tabeback Cards or play Cards. Anyway I can do this?

Maybe at a teaching table with 4 confederates playing the hand. Then you might see the "GIB" play at each step.
Keep in mind though, that you are watching double dummy play, which will often not be the best play.

you could use the free play command, but it is a pain in the ass. Better is to open the hand in Double Dummy Solver (a free piece of software available on the bridge captain website. IT allows you to change the contract, change the declarer take back one card or all of them, and shows you what cards lead to the most tricks for the declarer and what cards lead to the fewest tricks for declarer, all on a card-by-card. At least give it a try before you try to figure out the how to do this in handviewer.

If you are on a PC, or can manage to run in a PC emulation environment.

After loading the hand, click the "export deal" button followed by "hand editor" in the menu that appears.
