and if north did bid 7NT,NS make 7NT :)
try to bid 7NT ASAP!(for N and W)

I think the original poster's concept is that EW can make 3N with North on lead, and not just taking 9 tricks on defense.

myfish's hand also makes 3NT by west

BTW original hand has an actual good save in 7NT -4 against 7 on any major.

It's a very normal tournament-the screens are being used.
But a guy from a country club considers the screen side couples are partnership.
