I have a "Multi-Reverse" of 2S over 1H response ( GGG = Gnasher's Gameforce Gadget)

You could combine GGG with Frances' suggestion:

If I played a gadget (which I do) I would use it (2S-2NT-3D = 3-6 invite)

to form GiGGle (Gnasher's invitation + Gameforce Gadget lightly edited)

1 - 1
2! ( may be artificial )
..... - 2NT! ( asks )
??
...3! = 4s, no 3h, GF
...3 = 3h, 6+d, INV
...3 = no 4s, 3h, 5+d, GF
...3 = 4s and 3h, GF
...3N = 6+d, no 4s, no 3h, GF

If you agree to play an unbalanced diamond opening then you also free up a 2NT rebid, which can then be used (inter alia) to differentiate between hands with and without 3 card support instead.

I also play 2S here as gadget. Not playing any gadgets I think that 1S is a reasonable alternative to 3D. Rexford would consider 3C.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I play that a jump reverse is specifically showing a 3-card fragmentary support for Responder's major with a six-card holding in my minor, plus extras. This specific auction is not all that helped by that agreement, because 1 is not your classic reverse and no other jump reverse is possible. I agree that 1 is intriguing, but it risks a poor result when Responder has 4/5, obviously. I would consider 3, as you said, and am more and more thinking that the lack of a jump reverse in this specific sequence argues strongly for that type of meaning here, namely either very strong with minors (as 2 is virtually forcing anyway) or the fragmentary support hand.

I would raise partner and bid 4D over 3D. This places me in perfect position to blame partner for the catastrophe we are getting set to endure. B-)

But not playing a gadget I see no alternative to 3D. It's not worth a game force.

I also play 2S gadget in my natural partnership but I think 1S is way better than 3D without it, it's certainly an option at least. If we get by with partner not raising us, we get to bid hearts and show extras with 4351 which seems much better than a 3D rebid. If partner raises us it's not a disaster yet.

Bidding 3D just seems pretty gross. Even the original gangsta 3H has more appeal to me than 3D though I have never tried such a thing in real life it seems pretty baller lol.

This used to be a pretty common MSC hand type.
