Am I nuts? Maybe I'm supposed to be balancing with the South hand, but passing as North puts a lot of pressure on a partner.

This one is the robot's mistake, not yours. You hand is too crappy to balance at the three level but would totally come alive opposite partner's (obvious to a low intermediate human) 3♦. You got fixed by your own bot, it happens.

Maybe because you are vulnerable?
Swap minors with dummy. What bid looks best by your partner now?
What is GIB's PA on overcalling at the 2 level? Does GIB expect a double from you on some minimum holding and short spades?

I can't believe people start analyzing this. Yes, passing with A765 6 KJ8653 AK over a weak 2♠ is horrible, no matter which vulnerability.

Thanks for reporting.
Fixed in next version v27.
Problem was how GIB evaluates trumps holding in opening preparing for trap-pass.
