As usual, we will play a match vs. JEC on Saturday at 14:00 EST / 20:00 CET.

Also as usual, interest in playing will be very low, so you will be virtually guaranteed a place in this match just by speaking up once in this thread. Seriously, such a great opportunity and you don't even have to deserve it! What are you waiting for?

Sure Yordan, no problem.

One more pair needed.

Do you require advanced players, or is this open to all? My longest-lived partnership has had success at the flight B level but we're no experts. If we'd be eligible I can check with pard for next time around.

Obviously I would prefer to have expert players every week, but interest amongst the forums top players obviously just isn't high enough for that. As such, I'd be happy to give you and your partner a shot.

Well on board 3 I dropped 17 on a flustered/bad auction to the right contract and then bad declarer play, but then we all rallied and played strongly and we took the lead on board 7 for 18-17 at the first quarter and we went on a good run. By the half we were up 38-19. At the 3/4 mark (board 21) we were up 41-32, but then the last 1/4 was all JEC with a 51-0 run to lose the match 83-41. There were a number of interesting hands, and it was too bad the match was over score wise before the last board, as it was a potential major swing hand with lots of excitement.

Please begin the customary rite of self-flagellation that follows the match by discussing the interesting boards.

Sure, I will do it in day or two. Need a small break.
