For me a reopening double from partner woud show: ♠xxx ♥AJ9xxxx ♦Qxx ♣- or similar.

Obviously that can't apply if we are looking at six trumps.

Opps will have a hard time telling if we double on spades or on values, they might even think that if we had a lot of spades we would not double! :)
