i had this in a moneygame on the 10 of hearts lead. when dummy appeared i was sure there had to be a 100% line. i pondered for a few mins which never endears oneself to opps at rubber bridge but eventually i spotted it. can you?

Assuming 3NT.

Win hK.... lead s9:
If it holds, then lead low Diam


If East wins and shifts to the cQ, then cover.

If East wins and shifts to a low Cl, then duck.

In either case, opps can't run 4 Cl tricks.

and if the queen of diamonds loses to the king you've got the ace of diamonds as an entry to take a first round spade finesse into the safe hand, preserving communication in spades to dummy's long winner.

and if the queen holds you concede a spade out of your own hand instead of crossing to dummy, now opps can take max 3 clubs and 1 spades

This hand is also a very interesting pairs play problem, and probably not B/I.
