actually I can see what GIB is doing holding 6 cards in opps overcall partner is sure to have fit in one those suits Hearts or Spades.
He passed one spade, now its up to the other GIB I guess.

the other GIB East should maybe bid 2 Spades

As silly as this auction was, at least you got to play in 2♦ undoubled where you will go down no more than 150 while your opps are cold for 11 tricks in clubs. NS can beat 3NT on double-dummy defense.
