Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming please. Very grateful for all the China BBOers who are helping to test and improve the Chinese service. :)
And Lycier thanks for translating :D If I could type better in Chinese I would...hope to meet you guys someday and chat in putonghua.

Uday knows of the speed (good) and the stability issues (bad) now. We'll try to solve it but not sure how. In general we think China server is clearly better so we want to keep it permanent and route all China BBOers to it soon. I'll inform everyone when that happens. Hopefully the disconnection problems can be solved as well.

各位朋友们有所不知，当我和一位华裔美国科学家在BBO聊天时，他告诉我，他在班上只能用英语和我交谈，因为班上的电脑里没有汉字软件，也不能装；只有回到自己家里，才能用装有汉字软件的电脑用汉字和我聊天。

今天想试试中国服务器的效果但是登陆后 ,发现总是掉线，很不稳定。而该用正常BBO链接就不掉线。
使用淘宝浏览器不能输入汉字 提示聊天不能发空信息 （英文可以 ） 是浏览器的原因吗？

一开始登录时，很慢，有时还提示找不到服务器。登录以后还算可以，但也会莫名其妙的掉线！

国内浏览器很多对于诸如BBO之类的外国网站，其效果不尽如意，我使用谷歌（google）浏览器,感觉挺满意。

We asked our hosting service if they know what's going on with the dropped connections, but could not receive a clear answer.
Their answer was:

The network between China and USA is very complicated. Our quality is not bad. You can use http://just-ping.com (http://just-ping.com/) to test your IP 118.244.168.142 . You can test cn.yahoo.com (http://cn.yahoo.com/) from USA. cn.yahoo.com (http://cn.yahoo.com/) lost packets too.


From this I'm understanding this problem can't be solved because even sites like Yahoo encounter problems. Do you guys think the occasional speed improvement will make you keep using the server instead of normal server in USA?

就掉线问题，我们向我们的主机托管服务商咨询过了，但没有得到一个明确的答复。

他们的答复只是：

中美之间的网络链接结构非常复杂，我们的网络质量并不差。您可以在 http://just-ping.com中使用 IP地址：118.244.168.142（译者注：这是来自北京电信通的IP地址）进行网络测试，也可以使用雅虎中国http://cn.yahoo.com/测试从美国回显信息数据包的丢失。于此，我们可以看到即使象雅虎这样的大网站遇到此类问题也解决不了。

各位朋友，不使用在美国的BBO正常服务器，你认为网速临时的一些改善将会有助于您乐于继续使用中国服务器吗？

是的，我愿意继续使用中国服务器
因为没有中国服务器的时候，我晚上常常不能登录bbo网页版（白天使用中国移动正常，晚上使用的是中国联通），至少有了中国服务器后我晚上才能够登录上bbo了

I think so, I often can't log in to BBO with Normal BBO Server,it is easier and faster to log in to BBO when we use China BBO Server.We have to say China Server is very good.thank BBO very much .

I have to say Google had withdraw from China,it affect greatly for our chinese players.I can't visit many bridge website ,its reasons are complicated ,I can't dare even mutter dissent on the forum.Sorry.

这些天通过使用中国服务器，我的体会：中国服务器相比其它服务器链接，在速度上明显改善了，各方面效果都是不错的；而且还能和台湾人正常汉语聊天，这在以前是不可能的。这是一个历史性的进步！

Compared with other server links ，I have to say that China Server improve obviously in speed, its effect is very good !
Of importance,I also found surprisedly that I can be able to chat with Taiwanese by Chinese characters,whatever it is Simplified characters or traditional Chinese .it is not possible in the past.So congratulate BBO to make a historic progress!

这样吧，请大家用汉语反映你的使用情况和对BBO的意见，我准备近几天根据大家的意见，用英语写一份报告发表在BBO反馈意见专栏里。请大家尽快写出来，我一定如实带到。
不过有一点必须和大家说清楚：Fred和uday已经铁了心向网页版方向发展了，关闭BBO的电脑客户端是一个漫长而谨慎的过程，仅是时间而已，别的信息我权多言。只能说这些。

这么多天来，白天使用中国移动网+IE登陆BBO网页版从来就没有出现过问题
晚上使用中国联通网+IE经常不能登陆BBO网页版，客户端软件版基本可以登陆
中国服务器刚建立后能够迅速登陆网页版了，但是有时候掉线，而最近几天网页版中国服务器也和常规服务器一样久久不能登陆上去了
经过我反复测试，不知道是中国联通网络结构和设置有什么特别的，还是中国联通+IE会有问题
找到了一个解决办法，大家也不妨试一试
中国联通网，我改用其他浏览器，比如使用360浏览器等等，立马就能登录BBO网页版了，而马上改用IE还是依然在一闪一闪的久久不能登陆
大家如果不能登陆BBO网页版，请改用其他浏览器看看，也许能很快登陆了

我体会谷歌浏览器或世界之窗极速浏览器或360极速浏览器（占内存略大一点）就不错，尤其是谷歌浏览器在使用效果和速度上感觉挺好的，更适合浏览外国网站。而IE浏览器不行，要不是网银等只支持IE的话，有谁还用IE啊，可以说IE浏览器是妨碍浏览器进步的绊脚石。

我还发现国内很多浏览器不一定支持bbo论坛的编辑功能，以上我说的三种浏览器都是支持的，而且就其打开的速度而言，谷歌浏览器最好了，能够100%满足bbo论坛的任何需要。
所以，有的朋友的问题不能不说与其浏览器很有关系。谁如有好的浏览器使用经历，不妨说出来与大家分享。

我使用的是360极速浏览器，推荐大家使用谷歌浏览器或世界之窗极速浏览器或360极速浏览器。
