What now?

If it matters you have agreed to play "non-leaping Michael's" meaning that 4 now would be clubs and a major.

Pass. Can't think of a sensible bid.

If even Andy passes, there will be no bid.

Do you find a double with Axxx Qx Jx AQJ86? If not, then what about Kx in hearts?

The fact that I'm asking that makes me realise that the original hand is a pretty clear pass. I just find I sell out to 3D-1 all the time when our side has any number of making partscores and the 3 opener has a hand that would usually open a weak two but they've raised it a level due to the vul.

Maybe with Ax. Holdings like Axxx and Jx don't particularly suggest competing the partscore vigorously.
