The spots are correct (for the sake of this thread). Your LHO opened 2H and it went (???)

2H-x-p-2S
p-3H-p-3NT
all pass

small heart to the J and Q, what do you play next? :) Matchpoints. Your partner is already on his way to buy you a drink to apologise.

The field will score -140 when the opponents are in a heart contract. That is the score I want to beat.

Unless, the opponents are still confused about the heart situation, I will lose 5 heart tricks and the A. If I can limit my losers to that, I will have -100 (assuming I am not vul). I will play LHO for Ax and play a spade towards the king. That way, I might get 3 spades, my Q, A and AK. If it works, partner can go back to the bar to buy me another one.

Do we know anything about oppo's system? For example, are they playing constructive weak 2s (maybe with weaker ones going via a multi 2)? If not, LHO seems unlikely to have A alongside the presumed AK, so perhaps I should cross to dummy with a and play RHO for Ax instead.

If LHO had Ax/AKTxxx/xxx/xx, would they open 2? I followed the same resoning as Rik but came to the opposite conclusion, crossing to K and playing a spade to hand on the basis that LHO cannot hold the A.

Extra info, as requested:

Opps are sound but they only have one weak 2 available. They will not open 2H with Ax AKxxxx xxx xx.

If I am vulnerable, lay the hand down and claim 4 tricks, then spend the 5 minutes at the bar.

If I am not vulnerable, do as most seem to, hope RHO has A doubleton spade. Cross to a club, lead to Q then duck a spade.

I played a heart back, what do you think of that? They did indeed let go of spades but I mangled up my communications and went down 4 anyway :)
