Good afternoon from the Czech Republic,

Thank you for the BBO, the BBO Forum, Vugraph and everything else, it is much appreciated! I'm writing some ideas as a user's feedback, hopefully written in a friendly way. The ideas are not critical, it is a list of potential improvements.

1) It would be useful to have a general language switcher at http://www.bridgebas...ient/client.php, the only need is to use variable lang, "?lang=" in the link itself. I am using Czech Microsoft Windows and I wanted to use an English web version of bbo, solution for me was "http://www.bridgebase.com/client/client.php?lang=en" or lang=cs when I am in need of using English Microsoft Windows and wish to see a Czech version of bbo.

2) It would be nice to have a link to http://www.bridgebase.com/mobile/ among official links. I am not using a mobile device, I am using a regular browser and I can open more windows on my screen while watching vugraph, see http://striz7.fame.u...-screenshot.jpg :) I believe that more people will welcome this link.

3) When playing at a main bridge club table, I am compared to the other tables. It would be great to be compared (also) to a par/minimax result. Well, just to see a par result somewhere in the corner would be enough for me when playing.

4) Moreover, esp. when watching vugraph (and also after the hand in the main bridge club), it would be terrific to see full double dummy table (and a list of par contracts during the match with matchpoints scoring, that would be 100% perfect solution).

5) We can download team matches (lin files), that is fine, but chatting is not stored (it is available in the vugraph recordings only). I think that tables created by llande and susina8 would be a great start for adding recording of chatting for later reading.

6) The same of recording chatting passes to the partnership bidding of some players, recently e.g. practising of zia and chip. Once the kibitzers are allowed, recording might be turned on.

7) I am missing more options when setting sound in a new web version. For instance, I would like to turn on a sound when vugraph match is starting, but I would like to turn off all the sounds related to the other players, I usually wish to hear a sound when I am on turn only.

8) One technical point, if I may. It is not possible to download web pages after filling this form. http://www.bridgebas...hands/index.php (the same problem occurs in automatic downloading of html in the traveller). When I use wget or curl Linux programs (e.g., curl --data "username=bobhamman&start_time[Y]=2013&start_time[M]=5&start_time[d]=12&time_interval[0]=0&time_interval[1]=2" http://www.bridgebas...hands/index.php >sample.htm or wget http://www.bridgebas...time=1368655200), it is not working as a timestamp is calculated using a javascript snippet not the php code. It is pity. I had to use Files->Save As... manually and then I was able to parse the html file. The best approach would be to have an icon where all the lin files are stored (those seen on the previewed webpage and all the traveller's hands stored in some subfolders) and could be downloaded at one click. That's too much asking, I know that...

9) It is quite impossible to view played hands as a man doesn't remember when he/she played bridge some years ago. The best solution might be similar to the mail archives: once a name is entered such a person could get a list of all played hands sorted in groups by years and months.

Good luck in your next efforts!

Sincerely yours,

Pavel Stříž
