Kibitzing at tournaments

Hi,
One of the reasons I hear for not allowing kibitzers in tournaments is that it is distracting for the players. Would it be possible to “turn off” the list of kibitzers when mousing over the board number, either by individual profile or tournament/table?

Yuck. No thanks. I want to know who is watching me. If kibitzer bother you, simply never look to see who is there. If you don't point at the kibitzer box, then in tourneys' it is like no one is watcing (of course, turn off your sound too).

Not mousing over does make the most sense but kibitzers are banned from some tournaments because the TD feels it distracts players.

Not being able to see the kibitzers is a lesser evil than banning kibitzers from tournaments. An individual setting in user profile could keep everyone happy.

I think not being able to see the kibitzers is a lesser evil than TD's banning kibitzers from tournaments. An individual setting in user profile could keep everyone happy.

1) Some TDs do it to prevent cheating

2) That would be similar to "security by obscurity" -
it simply does not work.
I usually open with 13 cards
