language preference in google search

I have set my primary language to "English-UK" under "accountinstellingen" (this is Dutch but would probably be account options or some such in English).

Nevertheless, google keeps speaking Dutch to me, for example "bedoelde u:" instead of "Did you mean:".

Anyone knows how to get Google to speak English?

oh just found it, I had to click on the "gear" in the search page, then "zoekinstellingen" (search options), then "taal" (language).

Sounds like the first option you set was for filtering searches, the second was for how Google speaks to you.

Have you considered simply using www.google.co.uk? It works for me! :)

No that didn't work. I always used google.co.uk.
