Suggestion:
Adding a sign to indicate the table (eg big X) in above layout would make it more clear if these hands are West and South OR North and East.
Would avoid a lot of confusion when two hands are posted.
(Not sure if this software is part of BBO and easy to change)

This is a great idea!

Whenever I give a hand to someone in real life, I always draw a little table marker with an "X" in the middle. Always clears up the confusion.

I have suggested this some time ago. I have also suggested that it is usually clearer to have South as declarer in any play-problem, so if it is a defence problem you should be sitting either East or West (and not South as they often place you here). That includes opening-lead problems - make me West please, not South.

There are four new buttons. LEFTDUMMY and RIGHTDUMMY will likely disappear soon.
And the others probably renamed to NORTHSOUTH and EASTWEST at the same time.

Putting the declarer (as 4th parameter) there at this time would likely broke some things, like LinConverter, so not done.

Don't hold your breath for now, sorry, need to find a different approach (this one has a fixed number of parameters, so it doesn't work for bidding)

I think posters should try to use the diagrams that sit below the center hand. I guess these would be northwest and northeast.

I can't imagine a situation where I want to describe 'declarer's hand an an opponent, but most certainly dummy and a defender.
