I think it makes sense to have S declarer in all play problems, it makes thinking about them easier (I think especially for visual people) and reduces the need of turning the screen upside down. Likewise it makes sense to give your hand in the order S-H-D-C instead of C-D-S-H, it reduces the need of cutting up a part of your screen in four (or thirteen) and rearranging it. But IANAE, especially not in the inner workings of computer screens.
