Some of this is approximate, as I did not bother to right down all the details at the time.
This occurred in the first round of a bracketed KO event. I took the 5♥ bid as a request to sign off in NT as North could have introduced the suit earler. He meant it as a sign off in hearts.
The opening lead was the A♣ followed by Q♣ won by the K, discarding a heart.
I then lead a small spade and got the news about the 5-0 split. I won with the K in dummy and led the 10♠. East totally fell from grace by covering, which allowed me to draw trump and claim.
The fun starts if East does not cover. Lead a diamond to hand, and back to dummy. If East has not been able to ruff and West followed twice, it's game over. I continue with diamonds until either East ruffs (over-ruff, draw trump, and claim) or I get to the last diamond, which I ruff to reduce my trump to the same length as East. If it has come to this, I have discarded my last club and a heart, and I overtake my last heart in dummy. East has 3 trump to the J left, and I have the AQ9. When I lead a heart, East is forced to ruff and I overruff and play my good trump.
We should have picked up IMPs as the contract was 6♥ at the other table. Unfortunately, our teammates were not very experienced and did not know about Lightner doubles. On a club lead, 6H is easy.
