rebids 9xxx instead of support major after neg-x

(1) What's stopping it from bidding 2 spades?
(2) 2c should be defined as 6+ clubs, 3- spades IMO, else pass with its min
(3) Really don't think west should be bidding 1nt vul on a 7 count. I think it should pass almost all hands without fit here, unless having good suit to show, rather than bidding 1nt in live auction vul where opps are unlimited and nobody may have a fit.

I think someone wrote in the bridge bulletin that "only perverts (voluntarily) rebid five card suits"--what does this make N?
