I put this hand in another thread, and after looking at it again, I have further arguments...
On the other thread I believed that it was my partner who started the bidding. This was wrong. It was actually me who started with a pass. I am sitting South.

ATB as you see it.
Also, let's say partner started the bidding rather than me. ATB in this situation.

NS(US): RED
EW(OP): WHITE

South opens the bidding...
Playing Swedish Modern Standard...very basic.

Pd change is in order imo, asap ! Otoh if you felt the neccesity to figure who to blame in BBF forums in this auction, instead of knowing who, perhaps no need to change the pd.

North, obviously.

Funny thing is that 6 might even make. Suppose diamond diamond, ruffed on Dummy. Now heart to Queen and spade Ace-King. If LHO has Qx in spades, Declarer leaves RHO's spade outstanding and starts running hearts. If the heart Jack drops, RHO eventually ruffs a heart, over-ruffed by Declarer. Declarer then ruffs the last diamond back to Dummy to enjoy the remaining hearts, taking five heart tricks, the Ace and King of spades, two ruffs in Dummy, two ruffs in hand, and the club Ace, not even needed the club hook. Maybe Declarer needs tgo cash the club Ace early and go all in for that to work.

Did North not realize that South showed 4 cards in when he bid 1?

In the other thread, I had thought the auction had started with my partner 1st to bid. So I thought I would put it in a new thread to see if in either case I did something extremely wrong. My 3C bid was an extreme overbid, but I was fishing for some tops on the last few boards as well so hoped for a possible 3NT.

640|480 is really unnecessary when posting hand diagrams. 400|300 is generally standard. (I post mine at 360|270, but that's just me.)

I just use wht mgoetze had nicely shared in the General forum. I can change it/use a smaller window in the future if it bothers many.
