1C-(P)-1H-(P)
2H-X- ??

X = short H, likely purish 4S , 4D, 4 C, values for 3 level. We play 2N in a nocomp auction to ask range/cards, but should it be on here? If not on, what is 2N? What is XX? What is 3D or 2S?

Regards and Happy Trails,

No regards or happy trails when you purloin my post titles, Scott. None at all.

I like simple agreements: system on, xx = let's try to get them (supposedly 4 decent spades).

Sigh and dang it, seemed like a legit question (came up yesterday) and a better idea than hijacking your thread....

I think you are complicating your life if you try to change your agreements when there is a double here. So I would expect 2N and 3x to be the same as if there wasn't a double.

XX is they stepped in it, which is sometimes the case with pre-balancers that attend a Larry Cohen seminar. You can play penalty or 2-3 doubles after that.

the x by opps have given you another bid to make take advantage of it.

PASS followed by x invitational hand 4 hearts unsure where to go
PASS followed by 3h Invitational 11 (at least 5 hearts) a bit stronger than direct 3h
3h competitive 9-10 (at least 5 hearts) and no desire to penalize opps
2h your normal system with a hand that does not fit any of the above.
xx GF either a strong desire to x opps or some other GF hand.
