LHO bids 1NT (13-15), partner bids 2H (natural), RHO passes.  What do you call?


Part 2

Assuming you bid 2NT (cue bid), is it forcing to game?  Partner bids 3D (with the opponents passing).  What do you call?

Part 3

Regarding wk or strong notrump openers by your opponents, what tools do you have to either invite game or force to game?  I'm familiar with Dont, Capp, etc. which are methods for interference and finding part score contracts, but what about game?  Is slam out of the question?  Does vulnerability influence your methods?  Will post all 4 hands later.

What do I bid? 3C if it is 100% forcing. With some partner's, 3Clubs would only be invitational. With those partners I bid 3NT, not 2NT.

I don't think that 2NT is a "cue-bid". I play it as natural and non-forcing. If you wanted, you could play it as lebehnsolish. If over my forcing 3Clubs, and partner bids 3D, I bid 3NT.

I play three different defenses against opponents NT. If it includes 15 hcp in the range, then I play dont. If it is 11-14, I play cappelletti, if it is mini or submini 1 NT (12 hcp AT MOST),  I play
..DBL = penalty,
..2C = 4+ clubs plus playable in two other suits, having bid this with 4-3-2-4. When partner has 2CLubs or less, he scrambles out looking for a different suit.
..2D is major 2 suiter
..2H/2S = suit, with 2NT forcing reply
..3C/3D = preemptive
..3H/3S = the major, and a minor. NF
..3NT = minors (dbl with a good balanced hand)

I got that defense from Chris Ryndals  webpage... and found it as good as anything else I used against these comic NT things.
