Tourny hand, so advanced robot. Going down in a cold game due too taking a finesse for an overtrick. Has to be something wrong with the risk vs reward calculations here.

Something like 50% for 480 or -100. vs
~37%(or what ever odds are of jack dropping) chance at 480 or 450.

A 13% better chance at 30 more points vs losing 550, not sure how gib justifies this, matchpoints or not, there are plenty of people not even in game.

EDIT: I Removed spade discard comment out(per Stephen correction).

pitching the spade doesn't matter, because you are max 12 tricks as all you can pitch on the fifth spade is the third round diamond which is a winner anyway.

It is weird that it is hooking the ten though. Also weird is that my home PC GIB (at MP, not IMP), also hooks for the J using the GUI, but the command-line GIB always plays for the drop. Does GibSon kick in at the same point when using GUI vs. command-line? GibSon kicked in right at the spade trick using command-line.

Generally tough for the developers to debug play, but it would be interesting if they could figure out what's going on in this one.

I'm also curious about the K opening lead. to my (admittedly non-expert) eye, the K appears to be a much better lead.

Whoops, didn't pay attention to diamonds, so it always make 5 and 6 if you get spades right. Edited it out, thx
