Partner is unknown but a strong player(compare to average BBO and my level).

I sit E

N has Q963 in trump, no entry for trump coup, down 1.

Should I pull out 2 with that 10HCP misfit hand? Final result was -2.

1- I would not bid 7, but i played worse grands.

2- It depends on style of 2 bid, some people bid 2 upto 16 with hands that doesnt have a good suit to jump, if thats the style you may bid 2 NT i guess. If he has bad heart suit he probably has some good stuff for you. But i think i would bid 2 with your hand.

1--1NT
2--2 showing 5-5 minors. Since 2 can not be natural.
