was looking around on the robot world site of flash bbo, i clicked on basic robot to see what options are next thing I knew I had rented it for a week....there was no button to click that asked you to verify that is what you wanted.

The reason I was looking for the options, is that on old downloadable version there is an option to rent robots for 30 days for $3.....In flash version I have never been able to find this option

So Ill take my punishment and pay $1 for a week then next week go to the old version to pay for 30days....is there any reason why this option cant be put into flash version?????


when I decide to rent GIB by month I always have to go find old version of BBO and rent GIB for 30 days that way, even though I dont use this version for anything else but renting GIB.....then when playing with GIB I go back to flash version...just my two cents worth

When you play with robots on the old version, GIB runs on your PC. When you use the new version, it runs on our servers. The economics are different, because we have to run enough servers to handle the load, and hence we have different pricing models.

However, you've apparently discovered a loophole: you can purchase the rental with one version, then play with the other, and get 9-10 days for free. You probably should have kept quiet -- I'm not saying that we will close it (there probably aren't many using this trick), but if we do it's your own fault.

the pricing has been that way for several years....isnt it common practice to get a discount when you purchase over an extended period of time...in an earlier post like 3-4 yrs ago I asked how come you dont have a year discount?

I hope that 1$ isnt that important.....
