In 3rd seat, vul versus not, You hold

aj976 97 K72 A52

And the bidding you parnter pass, your RHO open a preemptive heart bid, you pass (right?) and your LHO carries to 4.

WHAT do you lead?

For the record, the opening bid was 2 (alerted 8 to 12 points) at one table and 3 at the other, if the level of preempt makes a difference on your choice at trick one.

I would lead a very pedestrian diamond. I don't see much reason to do anything else, there is a reason that leading from kings is supposed to be better than leading from aces.

If my diamonds were 3 small or something I would be down for considering a low club or something like that, but leading from a king is very attractive in this situation also.
