There are quite a few large topics/threads (stretching over more than 1 page) that I wish to printout/download for further study and evaluation. Is there a simple easy one step method to do this?

The printer button at the bottom is what you need. It is the second from the right in the row next to "Share this topic:". However, I'm not 100% sure how it works. On my computer it doesn't seem to?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I encountered the same problem.

Ben [Inquiry], can you or anyone else assist?

Printing does nothing here, either. The 'download' option also seems broken - I tried downloading a large thread, wasn't given an opportunity to enter a filename and when the process (apparently) completed, there was no entry on the downloads page (Firefox and Linux).

Setting my printer to create a PDF and then printing from the browser print option doesn't seem to get me anywhere either. Most puzzling, I really expected this last method to work.

Ben is away this week, I'll check with the vendor.

The print function still doesn't work. Any news from Ben or the vendor yet? It is hugely frustrating having to copy/paste into a Word document to print.

Thank you.

I can't get it to work either. Since I was away when this thread started, I assume Barry has contacted the vendor for the forum software and we are waiting a reply.

In your forum preferences you can set the number of posts per page to 40 (the maximum) and then use your browser's print or download facilities. It doesn't look too bad.

Invision sent me a pointer to where to look on the server, but I'm not sure what (or even if) we've customized in there. I'm checking with another admin.

This solution of helene_t works. Until the print problem is resolved, consider making this work-around known to others wishing to print out any of the threads like I do.

Gerardo thinks this is related to the way we've customized the skin to add the hand editor, and using the BBO user database for authentication.

The vendor is saying that there are known problems with print and download in this version. There are fixes in the next version, but they don't know if our problems are due to them or our customizations. I'm trying to work with them to figure this out, but it's slow going.
