Western Europe is a place where people use the metric system and drive on the right side of the road.

And just where is the boundary between Eastern Europe and Asia besides in Turkey or Western Europe and Eastern? :)

And set their clocks to Central European Time, for some reason.

Ugh... actually we all do that just after the tournament but I see you North Americans pride yourselves on being different. ;) I have edited the first post to reflect that... I hope correctly.

HUM = Highly Unusual Method
BSC = Brown Sticker Convention

These are terms for conventions that are prohibited in almost all tournaments.

Just over two weeks to go... hope you're all busy looking for a partner!

I have a partner for that day, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) we will be playing in Memphis at the ACBL nationals. Sigh. I look forward to playing in #3 I guess.

It looks like I'll be able to play, but my partner is again not available. Anyone (mgoetze?) wants to partner up under the risk that I may have to cancel at the very last moment? Or is better for me to plan to sub or something?

Unfortunately, I will not be able to play in this event. My partner, BunnyGo, may find someone else to play in my place.

ArtK78 had to back out at the last minute, so I'll be playing with antrax--who may also have to back out at the last minute :)

Tournament #1671 Pairs 2nd BBF Matchpoint Pairs is up! You should be able to see it on the web client starting in 5 hours.

If you want to play and didn't play in the last tournament, let me know so I can add you to the list.

Also, thanks for all the offers, but I believe I'm playing with gwnn.
