I know this isn't a major problem, but i sometimes I'm invisible and wish to become visible or vice versa, and I don't like logging out because I lose my conversation history etc. Is it possible to add a toggle?

Edit: I believe this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it and either way would want to bump it.

Sorry not possible (or at least not even close practical) due to poor early design decisions.

That is a great shame. I also find it pretty irritating to have to keep logging in and out.

I'm curious. Sorry for the attempt to reverse engineer your client, but is it possible that such a feature would only hide (or unhide) you from the flash client users? Or am I completely off here?

You are not completely off - it probably wouldn't be that hard to make it work for web-client users.

But it would be impossible to make it work for Windows client users without a new version (which isn't going to happen) and chaos would ensue if we made it work only for web-client users.

I assume what Fred is saying is that a web client user could change their visibility, but windows client users wouldn't notice the change. That's where the chaos ensues: your visibility depends not just on the client you're using, but what the OTHER user is using.

Yeah, that's what I thought, thanks.
