We have the option to "seat my partner and I at the first available table", I think would be very useful
to have the option when starting a table, to be able to restrict the empty seats to 'partners only'.

This should both improve the level of game and minimize the typical bus stop effect you get when
individuals join.
"And no matter what methods you play, it is essential, for anyone aspiring to learn to be a good player, to learn the importance of bidding shape properly. MikeH
"100% certain that many excellent players would disagree. This is far more about style/judgment than right vs. wrong." Fred
"Hysterical Raisins again - this time on the World stage, not just the ACBL" mycroft

I think it would also help for those of us who play an unusual system. Even if you tell pickup pairs that they're free to discuss their system at any time (which I do) it still seems a bit much to expect them to cope with an unfamiliar partner AND an unfamiliar system. Mind you, I expect that even if this is implemented, it won't be made available to those of us who still prefer the old client. :(

I agree ! It's sometimes a pain to get my regular partner and I getting simultaneously to a table of our country, even when there are ones with exactly 2 open seats.
Tired of red/black ♠♥♦♣.
For 4 suits, why not 4 colors ?
