Why does GIB play a card to finesse from op then place a higher card on it from dummy,it makes no sense to go for a finesse then not do it and the card GIB wants to finesse is always in the right place? 3nt always always goes down because of this stupidity when it is a cold contact? It happens all the time.

If you want us to investigate, you have to post an actual hand.

But the simple answer is that GIB doesn't make plans and then carry them out, like humans do. For every card it plays, it performs a new set of simulations from scratch. The hands it dealt in the simulations when choosing what to lead from hand will be different from the ones it dealt when deciding what to play from dummy.
