Give me one good reason not to do the normal diamond lead.

Not that necessarily lead one at the table but could be right. Partner rates to have some , some and lots of Diamonds, given that we have only 1 and 2 he could be very short in .

Maybe the lead of the lowest (suit preference) gets a ruff, a and another ruff. Or maybe natural trump trick, club and a second round ruff!
