South is supposed to guess that partner has a heart control? OK, South gets 10% of the charge.

I'm not really sure how I feel about 4d, its not my style, but preempts should be variable etc etc, but I think once south bid 4H north must do more. He has a great hand for a 4d bid.

After a three keycard reply can't we still have a trump loser? Presumably partner could have a singleton king.
I think we should ask for keycards, then bid the queen ask. If partner has Kx, he'll know that trumps are solid. We probably wouldn't have bid 4♦ with ♦AJ10xxxx and a side ace, but if we did have that the finesse through opener would probably be odds-on.
