In the 5-card ending, the robots "know" they are squeezed because I must have another spade available to reach dummy...

Why does West have any problem discarding all those low spades and in deed why doesn't East if he thinks South has another spade lead the spade Q when he gets in with the club honour- cuts communication?

West has no problem discarding any of his cards as South is taking all the remaining tricks anyway. So why not the A?

East leads the Q, declarer wins, plays A, A and another heart and East is endplayed in spades.

It's not quite a squeeze since with 2 club winners to play, North will come down to AK10 of spades for the last 3 cards so West's spades are irrelevant since none of them can beat the 10, and East's spades are going to drop under the AK if declarer still has a spade to play. Therefore, keeping the ace of hearts is the only hope.

Didn't west have the ace of hearts? In any case, any endplay is for down 1 since the defenders already have 4 tricks, 2 clubs and 2 diamonds.
