No - the bid of 5♠ doesn't appear to be inviting slam, just saying that it's better to bid over 5♦ than to take the money, so how could double be meant to talk NS out of bidding slam? West could also have passed you out in game, although the decision to make the double is made independently of the decision to bid or pass over 4♠ so this is of limited relevance given that GiB is (obviously) not human (if it were, the two decisions might not be quite so independent).

I assume it thought that partner's 15+ total points were likely to provide enough defensive value to make double right.
