It forces the client to use the normal port 80, which might get through the block (if that's what it is).

tried the link you provided same result connection lost
tried a bunch of flash sites they all workedfine, so its not flash

it sure looks and feels like it would really be nice to use it for bbo play, havinghad n2ck surgery sitting at desktop monitor isnt comfortable any more.

Anyway, that company says they have to open a ticket and find out why it doesn't work. This isn't likely to be a bbo issue, btw, but they'll email me when they know more

when I talked to them on thursday after the article was in NY Times I talked with their chat guy on tech support and he opened a ticket but said he thought it was your fault
you know old story
hardware guys say its a software problem
software people say its a hardware problem
the app does look promising now to just get it to accept login and set connection

They do support "proxy" connections, but BBO does not.
Let me think about this.
edit:
We do see how we could find a way to work with proxies but we're not going to make this a high prio effort for now. We'll revisit at a slightly quieter time.
