Need 2 attempts to login

I'm still using the windows client, because basically I don't like the browser version (except for it's GIB functionality in PB). Lately, when I startup my client, I usually need 2 attempts to actually login. After the first attempt I get the message that BBO couldn't connect to the server, the second attempt always works. I never had this problem before and nothing about my configuration has changed. It's a windows 7 computer, no proxy, nothing fancy,...
It's not like there's no workaround (just try again), but it's just annoying.
Is anyone aware of this problem and/or is there a permanent solution?

I see it on about half my attempted logins (I'm using the Windows client under Linux and WINE) but I'd just put it down to my crappy satellite internet connection. I agree with you that it always seems to work OK on the second attempt. I can't remember ever having to try it a third time.
