1N looks better with balanced hand like that.

Too good for a 3♦ call. And 1NT is very likely to be better than 3♦ both in scoring and in liklihood of making.

Change it to:

Q87
KQxxx
Jxxx

and it would be a max for 3♦.

Turns out that 1NT cannot make more than +90 and 3♦ is a likely make as well.
