Needing a call over 2♣...
I wanted to pass, but that's explained as 8-11 total points and I didn't want to underbid...
Thought I could show club stops by bidding 2N, but that's explained as 15 (not 14, not 16) HCP and I didn't want to overbid...
Double (as you can see) is explained 12-17 HCP with biddable clubs. Maybe fits, but ick...

West also behaved interestingly on this hand. Six of the ten Souths passed 2♣; at those six tables, West then bid 2♦ and explained the bid as showing 7+ total points.

Finally, shouldn't the 2♣ bid have an upper limit of noticeably less than 22 total points? Wouldn't 3♣ instead show jump-in-suit strength?
