problem if pard had doubled. Without the double, I can reopen with 3NT to show the 4-6.
If he doubled,four diamonds seems reasonable.
I have been told that I should bid 4NT if she doubles.
If he doubled,
I have been told that I should bid 4NT if she doubles.

Why do you think 3NT should show 6-4 minors ? What would you bid if your hand was 2137 solid or semi solid ♣+♠ stopper or any other hand that you wanna have a shot in 3 NT vs pd's average expected hands ?

Did I say it should show that? No, I said I could bid 3NT to show that (with my agreements). I wouldn't presume to decide for you what you should do.

Your post certainly suggested that it shows 4-6. Anyway I am bidding 4C.
