Here's a nice hand where we got lucky in competition this weekend! I'm not sure about the EW hands, but it was something like:

Scoring: IMP


Bidding at our table (me South), opps quiet:
1♦ - 1♥
1♠ - 2♣
2♥ - 3♥
3NT - pass ( :) )

I didn't understand his pass, thought he was going for slam or so, but ok... Lead was ♣9 and I got under pressure immediatly, I had to take 9 tricks before they got their 4 ♣ tricks and something else! I took my Ace, played ♦Q (not covered), and now was the time for the ♥s. Small to the Q, and I saw the 10 from my RHO. Small to my ♠A followed by the ♥J, covered and pinpointing the ♥9 :D 9 tricks in my pocket.

The other table played 4♥-1 :D

What a freak hand! At our table I went -1 because of an opponent's mistake (I was able to discard my ♦K on ♠8 (after a ♠J lead). At the other table they went -2 because our partners didn't forget the ♦A :) Unbelievable how these trumps were split!!
