Another example of non-support by GIB. Also another example of GIB not specifying 1-♠ when the 3♦ bid shows 4+♣;3+♦;5+♥.
Interestingly, when South bid a little differently, NorthGIB supported:
Here, South has shown 13(+) non-spades, but the 4♣ description it still includes "3-S". North supports ♣.

You have to say that North's hand (without any aces) isn't exciting for playing in clubs. Its a amazing good GIB judgement to prefer 3NT over a club contract especially with no support for initally bid good quality but not great quality suit (so it can't be set up).

Where do you think you see GIB preferring 3NT?

By refusing to support clubs, probably not deliberate but accidental good bidding.

But he didn't pass 3N, he rebid his ratty spade suit. THAT was the preference he made.

I think GIB has started playing Bizarro Bridge. It raises with 2 (see pretender's thread), and doesn't raise with 5.

I don't see it as good bidding not to find the best contract 5♣, even 6♣ makes luckily.
I think GIB should bid 4♣ if it is forcing or 5♣ after 3♦.

6 ♣ won't make as North doesn't have enough ruffing strength to ruff both diamonds and hearts and South can't setup more than the K♠ so one diamond loser is unavoidable.

Reverse dummy.
South can play two times clubs and ruff 2 hearts and a diamond and when hearts are 4-3 get 5 hearts 1 spade 3 diamonds and 3 clubs.
