Hi Fred,

I dont know if you will read this but I am going through BM200

skill level 1 series A Deal 8

I have looked at the line to play in the movie answer,

but I it does something I dont understand, just wondered if you can enlighten me as it has been bugging me for weeks

on heart lead if you take it in dummy with the Ace

and then play small spade to K right hand shows up 4 / 0 break and uses the 6 spades (he now has 7 10 J spades

I then go back to dummy (with either another heart or club A)

when you then play the ace the RHO leads J spades and allows you to make the contract on a finesse .

because if the J spades does not get used the contract cant make and I doubt a real player would discard the J spades at that point.

this is not the line recommended in the BM2000 movie, I was just trying to see how many other ways to make the contracts.

Just curious why it does do that?

Playing the Ace of spades is bad play on my part, I realise that as I know what RHO has left and that it should fail, but I am curious why it does not.

That's a bug - thanks for pointing it out.

I keep a collection of these and fix them all every few months.

That bug started to annoy me so I fixed it.

If you try to play that hand again you won't be able to get away with the same mistake.

Thanks again for letting me know about this.
