No second seat opening is nearly as bad as the 3D third seat opening.

If you bid 1D, opponents will easily find a major fit at a low level maybe even game as you can only be playing in diamonds anyway with a passed seat 1.

and you have a good heart partial and the opps have no M fit at all.
Give Nth a slightly better hand and he would still pass as opener and you have a good play for a h game and you are playing a silly 3D contract

Yes, I would certainly have posted a comment if GIB had made that 3♦ opening, but this is the GIB Robot Discussion forum, not the Bbradley62 Discussion forum.
